"Strong Will"

Strong Will?? Ohhhh yesss! :)

I see in my not even 2 year old the meaning behind "Strong Will.(I know you are thinking, but look at that cute little face)
I say "No Khyler" and he says "No Mommy". I spank him and he says "no" and spanks himself...I mean really?!?
I am learning the true meaning of patience, but also I look at so many situations in our everyday life where people's "Strong Will" get in the way of what God could do in their life.
Our "Strong Will" tells us don't give in, don't admit or let anyone know we know we are wrong or have messed up.
If only we would give in and ignore that strong will when we do mess up, and let God use us to help someone else, and then also when we see the ones fighting their Strong Will be the one to step in and help.
People's "strong will" mind set will be broken 1 of three ways....
1. Through the Holy Spirits convicting power in their life
2. Through a person - Helping or using their testimony(or just not keeping their mouth shut) OR
3. Through a accident/tragedy

It is a shame that we allow this "Strong Will" to go on in front of us. Which leaves me with the question..."How do you love someone but yet not accept what they do?"
Well, this is the hardest part, because we must separate when people go against God's Word, but we are also command to Love.
And the separation is extremely challenging when you do Love the person. This is when I now realize the saying "Love is blind".
Not only is love blind in boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife situations, but also in every other situation when you truly love/care for someone. A friend, family member...ect.
Your love for that person will justify their wrong, and because you love them it is so easy to just allow whatever. THAT is what we mess up in. We have to LOVE, but we cannot be blind and stay quiet and accept the wrong - LOVE the sinner hate the sin, but so much lately it is turned into Love the sinner, ignore the sin.
"Strong Will" and the I want what I want mentality is a complete rebellion. It cannot be ignored.
Let's not accept the wrong, but lets Love people until their "Strong Will" gets broken, and hopefully get broken by YOU or the Holy Spirit...not the 3rd way.

Love always,
AK
